Biography

From 1968 to 1972 he attended the Artistic High School of Naples. These are years of great ferment and transformation for the new Neapolitan School and Sossio is a pupil of painters such as Domenico Spinosa, Armando De Stefano, Gianni Pisani. Between 1976 and 1978 he had many solo-exhibitions, always in the circuit of the Neapolitan Galleries, adhering to the cultural and artistic climate of the city. In the 1980s he moved to Tuscany where his true inner research began. In the canvases of this period he uses linguistic modules linked to color and the absence of figurative forms. The experience of these years will prove to be crucial in its stylistic path, in particular for the inspiration received by the illuminating reading keys of the Creative Universe born from the encounter with Dreamer. In 1998, a personal exhibition was opened at the London Gallery curated by the Italian Accademy of Arts, which is then repeated in 2001 and 2006. Collectors from many nations have chosen Sossio, siding his works with the ones created by internationally renowned artists. Among the most prominent collectors: Gordon Bethune (CEO of American Airlines), Donald Trump, Rudi Dornbusch, The George Koukis Foundation (London, Geneva, Athens), Esemble (Turkey), Aras Foundation (Turkey). He is currently living in Lucca where he works in his atelier.
