Biography

From 1968 to 1972 he attended the Art School of Naples. These are years of great ferment and transformation for the new Neapolitan School and Sossio is a pupil of painters such as Domenico Spinosa, Armando De Stefano, Gianni Pisani. Between 1976 and 1978 he had many solo-exhibitions, always in the circuit of the Neapolitan Galleries, adhering to the cultural and artistic climate of the city. In the 1980s he moved to Tuscany where his true inner research began. In the canvases of this period he uses linguistic modules linked to colour and the absence of figurative forms. The experience of these years will prove to be crucial in its stylistic path, in particular for the inspiration received by the illuminating reading keys of the Creative Universe born from the encounter with Elio D’Anna, writer, philosopher, entrepreneur, poet and musician.

In 1998, a personal exhibition was opened at the London Gallery curated by the Italian Academy of Arts, which was then repeated in 2001 and 2006. Since 2007 Sossio has started a collaboration with Aria Art Gallery where he exhibited in four solo exhibitions and various collective exhibitions in London, Istanbul and Florence. He participated in numerous art fairs and institutional projects. Collectors from many nations have chosen Sossio, siding his works with those of internationally renowned artists. Among the most prominent collectors and institutions: Gordon Bethune (CEO of American Airlines), Donald Trump (U.S.A.), Rudi Dornbusch (Nobel prize, DE), European School of Economics (UK, IT, SP), Il Bottaccio (UK, IT), Museum Mo.C.a.
