The Swimmers sculptures and apparent bathing, from Carole A. Feuerman to Toiletpaper

The theme of the swimmers holds a proper and important chapter in the great book of the History of Art. Since the first representations of the birth of Venus or of the myth of Diana, when he was surprised in her nivea nudity from Atteone, during to have a bath in the river, together with her beautiful nymphs. Almost all the artists of the Venetians five hundred century or those of the Bolognes six hundred century, have frequented almost all together this erotic and bucolic subject, doing a classical ground of it, offered to the recovery of Cezanne and many painters of the French “recherche”, up to the “Demoiselles of Avignon” of Picasso. The female beauty, cultured in the time suspended of the bath, in the languor induced by the sun and by the water, narrative runs around which it assembles the attention, the poetic sensibility and the admirable technical approche of Carole Feuerman.

All of us are asked there why, our body, shows a numbness and a disproportionate exhaustion to the efforts produced in the days of the sea vacation. Maybe that physical abandonment perhaps contains our secret restitution to the mighty and sweets elements of the nature.

A homage to this riminese vocation, to his history made of bodies to the sun, of water, done of inflated balls and of acrylic customs, of bonnets and of bright reverberations that they invite to leave half close eyes, it is decided to prepare the exhibition of one of the most important interpreters of the contemporary American sculpture together with a selection of the last bathing manifestos.
